Rak-Zanu

I'm going to be going through old entries and updating them soon, so they may be worth re-looking at in a week or two.

But this is an explanation of what Rak-Zanu are.

Rak-Zanu is a term exclusive to the Nobility of the Zhu empire, and represents something that only applies to them. While servants can be bought or inherited by any member of society, Rak-Zanu are a special rank of servant that swears a life oath to any rank of noble. A Rak-Zanu is the heard servant of said noble and becomes the equivalent of one rank below them, granting them status and protection from laws that would otherwise affect them. They spend the rest of their lives (though they get off days, outside of emergencies) protecting and serving the noble and helping to achieve whatever their goals are.  Most Rak-Zanu are primarily bodyguards and as such extensive combat training is required for the position, but some serve other roles such as adviser or caretaker if the noble is a young child; a few Rak-Zanu are even personal chefs. Rak-Zanu are the responsibility of their masters and they are legally allowed to ignore all but the most sacred of laws and traditions if it will protect the noble they serve.  When one becomes to injured or old to effectively serve they instead become the assistant of their replacement, or in some cases the coach.
